Trash to Treasures Find.

I live in a small town that has antique shops and wineries.  Once a year the town has "Trash to Treasures".  This flea market takes over the town with booths filled with antiques for sale.  Joe and I walked our dogs through town as usual, but stopped to look in some of the booths.

To my surprise there was a sewing machine in one of the booths.  I thought it was a Singer 127.  It was truly in excellent shape.  Even the bentwood top was in great shape.  It had the knee control, oil can, and miscellaneous attachments.  I figured it would be expensive, but when I saw the $25 price I bought it.  The woman selling it didn't know any history on it.

It wasn't until I got home with it and researched the serial number, I found it was in fact a 128.  Which is a 3/4 sized 127.  I also found it was built in 1924.

It only had one bobbin, so I am sure to order some extras.

I can't wait to sew some project with it.

Thanks for stopping.
