Patch n Dash Quilt

From a Craftsy class a few years ago, I made The Blazing Star quilt by Nancy McNally.  It is a queen size, and I still haven't quilted it.

Now, I made the Patch n Dash quilt by Nancy McNally.  It came in the form of a block of the week from her blog.  It took from February until July to get all the block directions. The finished quilt is 65 inches by 55 inches.

I bought the fabric at Joanns before it closed.

I used a White sewing machine I bought from Goodwill.  A very smooth and powerful straight-stitcher for some blocks.

Then I used my just purchased Viking 190.  I paid $5 for it at the thrift store.  This is my second one, these are terrific machines.

Next I made many blocks with my Bernina 807.  It is a great machine.

I used my singer 404 to sew the blocks together.  This is a wonderful machine.  I use it a lot.

I used my Necchi Lelia to sew on the border.  It is a smooth and quiet machine.  I bought it from Goodwill.

I used my Kenmore 158.521 to quilt it by stitching in the ditch.  It is a super smooth left-homing, low shank sewing machine.  I used a walking foot.

One thing about this machine is it needs the 1A zigzag cam to do zigzag.  This machine came with a set of cams.

I bound it with my Bernina Record 530.  It has a knee-control instead of a foot pedal. Like all Berninas, it is smooth and powerful.

I had lots of fun making this quilt, and using all the different machines.

Here it is.

Thanks for stopping.
