I took the size 38 pattern and simply cut the sleeves off at the lengthen/shorten line. I used some cotton I bought at Wal-Mart for $1 a yard.
My Bernina 910 sewed this shirt. It is so smooth and quiet. The needle always stops in the up position. However, a tap with my heal on the pedal lowers the needle. This machine also has a five-step manual buttonhole .

I decided to make a second shirt from a sheet.
My White Euroflair 8910 sewed the second shirt. It is really a Husqvarna -Viking made for White. It also lowers the needle with a touch of the pedal. It has a three-step manual buttonhole.

I also have been taking a sampler quilt class at MIYstudio. More on this in my next blog.
Thanks for stopping.
I just got a Bernina 930, very similar machine! And I love your Euroflair. I have never heard of this machine and now you have me interested in it. It did a great job and you look fantastic in your new shirts (I especially like the first). AND your facial hair looks pretty sexy, too. It's fun not to shave, right? :)
ReplyDeleteLove your shirts. They look great
ReplyDeleteNice job on your shirts! I have never heard of a White made by Husqvarna but I'm not surprised. Vikings are my favorite but the stitch quality on a Bernina is just so perfect.
