Another Shacket for Joe

The shacket I made for Joe in 2020 was eaten by something while in Summer storage.  A moth or a mouse, I am not sure.  It is a shame because he really liked it.  I bought the fabric at Joanns.

2020 Shacket

I used Simplicity 1328 in large to make it.  This is an unlined pattern, but I added a lining.  I also added welt pockets.

To make it again, I used some wool fabric in my stash that I bought from Fashion Fabrics Club.  I bought the lining material from Amazon.  The buttons came from Hobby Lobby.

I miss the one-stop shopping of Joanns.

I used my Kenmore 117.959 to make the shacket.  This is in a desk and is a straight stitcher.  I made the lining with my Pfaff 230.  This is also in a desk, but has fancy stitches.

Kenmore 117.959

I used my Kenmore buttonholer and the Kenmore 117.959 to make the button holes.

I sewed the buttons on with my 158.521.

Here it is:

Thanks for stopping.
